The UABC, through the Faculty of Economics and International Relations (Facultad de Economía y Relaciones Internacionales, FEyRI, in Spanish), was accepted as an academic member of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC). This achievement is the result of the hard work and commitment of academics, students, and graduates in the pursuit of academic excellence.
“Congratulations to all of you, I want to thank you for having warmly embraced the doctoral program in valuation and also thank the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology because from the beginning they accompanied us in this project which we would not have been able to carry out alone,” said Ph.D. Natanael Ramírez Angulo, director of FEyRI.
The International Valuation Standards Council is an independent, non-profit standard-setting organization dedicated to establishing global valuation standards in the public interest.
“By joining the IVSC, the FEyRI, in addition to becoming an actor involved in the formulation of globally applicable valuation standards, will have the opportunity to collaborate and share experiences with universities in the United States, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, and other countries around the world, being the only Mexican academic institution to achieve this position and one of the three in the Americas,” faculty official said.
In addition, FEyRI recently awarded the degree of Doctor of Valuation to its first foreign graduates.
During the ceremony, doctors Melquisedec Mata Valverde and Alberto Gómez Mora, from Costa Rica, and doctors Carlos Augusto Arantes and Radegaz Nasser Junior, from Brazil, defended their theses and the dissertation committee gave its approval.
